Join us on Tuesday, March 11th at 7:30 PM EST with Mónica JiménezDr. Jiménez will discuss her new book Making Never-Never Land: Race and Law in the Creation of Puerto Rico.

Mónica A. Jiménez
is a poet, historian, and Assistant Professor of African and African Diaspora Studies. Her research and writing explore the intersections of law, race, and empire in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Making Never Never Land offers a legal history of racial exclusion, settler colonialism, and exception in the fraught and often extractive relationship between the United States and Puerto Rico.
